Sara Evans has only had one lifelong dream she has always wanted to compose and perform country music. "God placed me on the planet to become singing," said Evans, in a quote by John Meroney of American Enterprise. This is what I am passionate about and what I will do. In addition, Evans wanted to succeed by going back to traditional country music that was brought to life by the legendary artists like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans thought of as her most influential models. The late 1990s were in a time where most promising country music stars turned to new, pop radio-friendly tunes, Evans made her initial mark with her country music that drew inspiration from the past as demonstrated by her 1997 debut entitled True Lies. True Lies was not a popular hit, despite having been highly praised by critics and being awarded an Academy of Country Music nomination for the top female vocalist. Thus, for her follow-up album, the 1999 album No Place That Far, Evans made a bow to the producers whom persuaded her to extend her repertoire and eventually, she received the acknowledgement she'd longed for since her childhood. Sara Evans, born on February 5th, 1971 in Columbia Missouri and is an American singer and songwriter. Sara Evans spent her childhood with six siblings.
